Our Programs

Counselling and Emotional Support

We provide professional counseling services to help widows cope with grief, loss, and emotional trauma. Our support groups facilitate peer-to-peer interaction, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding.

We organize Christian conferences and share with them the word of God to encourage them in their walk as widows.

Legal Assistance

We offer legal guidance to widows, ensuring they understand their rights, inheritance laws, and any legal obligations they may face.

Our team helps widows to navigate legal processes and connect with pro-bono legal services when needed.

Agriculture

Good quality agricultural seeds are distributed to the widow’s households in order to improve food production in their families as well as fight famine and also improve their capita through sale of surplus food.

TEWIDI also distributed cows for milk production, goats and sheep which is a revolving activity.

Vocational Training

We provide vocational training programs tailored to specific needs and interests of the widows. These programs offer skills development in various fields such as tailoring, hair dressing, baking, craft and more. These programs enable widows to gain economic independence.

After the training, every widow goes home with a bar of soap, salt and sugar.

Education Support

The organization has constructed a medical school aimed at providing education services to the orphans and the vulnerable children who would like to take on medical courses.

The Widows smile whenever we visit them

A joy smile

A widow appreciates receiving an addition to her farm.

Founder

The Founder smiles because the widows are happy as their livelihoods have really improved.

Sheep Farm

A widow smiles as she receives her sheep to begin her farm.

Chicken Farm

The widows who love rearing chicken are trained and given the startup they need to rear chicken.

Challenges & Limitations

There is a need to develop bigger partnership to help in acquiring skills in running some of the programs of TEWIDI, where we can learn from one another and have greater expertise in the implementation of some activities.
Together, we can work to improve on all these challenges and help the widows smile more.

Micro enterprise development

Widows frequently lack the necessary resources and support to start or expand their small businesses.

Sustainable Farming Challenge.

Widows in rural communities often face significant challenges in maintaining their livelihood. There is inadequate availability of farming tools, fertilizers, and sometimes their land is grabbed from them since they mostly are not educated.

With the Education Institution.

The medical school has not started operation due to lack of books to equip the library and the equipment's for the medical laboratories, which are the basic requirements needed by the Uganda Nursing Council and Ministry of Education and Sports for starting a medical school when fully operational, money raised from the school will enable the organization to run other programmes.
